Chi Kung (energy work) has been practiced for over two thousand years in China.
It is a simple, gentle form of exercise encouraging the movement of chi in different parts of the body often relating to the meridiens described in traditional Chinese medicine.
I qualified as a chi kung teacher with Ged Sumner's 'Elemental School of Chi Kung' in 2010 and am continually exploring new forms.
As a form of exercise chi kung is great for body and mind as it encourages us to deepen our breath, soften our joints and develop a sense of flow and balance.
Chi kung also brings us into relationship with the seasons, the elements of earth, metal, water, wood and fire and their associated organs.
I teach two chi kung classes a week in Waipu. All ages and levels of experience are welcome
